In Akita, the traditional dish "iburi-gakko" graces the dining table. This tradition is rooted in the legendary "Numayama Daikon," known as the most delicious daikon in Japan. Three men are determined to revive this daikon, which had once disappeared. What thoughts drive them? For these men, the daikon represents not only the evolving nature of agriculture in the face of modernization but also prompts a reevaluation of our contemporary way of life. "The Gift from Numayama" is a passionate documentary that follows their pursuit of this mythical daikon.

Produced in 2021 by Outcrop Inc., a film production company that operates DELTA HOSTEL, the film won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Best Film in the Student Category at the National Regional Video Association (ZEN-EIKYO) Grand Prix.
